Shirley Mims Dobbs

Shirley Mims Dobbs, 72, of Clanton died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011, at Shelby Ridge Nursing Home in Alabaster.

She was born Sunday, May 29, 1938, in Chilton County, daughter of the late John Preston Mims and the late Mary Sue Littleton Mims.

She was a hairdresser.

Surviving are her two daughters, Mitzi (David) Jackson of Trussville and Dana (Greg) Mims of Hoover; five grandchildren, Davey Jackson, Susie Randall; Joshua, Jacob and Joy Mims; and six great grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 25 at Martin Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, Feb. 26 at 10:30 a.m. at Collins Chapel Cemetery with Bobby Martin officiating.
