James Martin Wright, 86, of Clanton died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011, at Bill Nichols VA Home in Alexander City.

He was born Thursday, Aug. 21, 1924, in Talladega, son of the late Floyd Lushon Wright and the late Mattie Nora Giles Wright.

He was a pipe fitter.

Surviving are his wife, Alma Alene Wright of Clanton; daughter, JoAnn Wright of Great Falls, MT; son, James Douglas Wright of North Fort Myers, Fla.; two granddaughters, Amy King and Candye Wright; grandson, Dean James Wright; and great granddaughter, Alexis Payoletti.

Friends will be received from 1:30-2:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 23 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 23 at 2:30 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Matt DeBord and the Rev. Jay Hurd officiating.

Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton.
