Robert “Buddy” Curtis Chambliss Jr., 71, of Verbena died Friday, Feb. 11, 2011, at VA Medical Center in Birmingham.

He was born on Friday, Sept. 1, 1939, in Alabama, son of the late Robert C. Chambliss Sr. and the late Fannie Allen Hemphill Chambliss.

He was a restaurant owner.

Surviving are his wife, Karin P. Wilson of Verbena; two daughters, Stephanie (Kyle) Smith of Clanton and Christy (Robert) Woods of Clanton; five grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, James and Ruth; nephew, Travis; and niece, Lee.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 15 at 11 p.m. at Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton with the Rev. Jimmy Tompkins officiating.
