Alpha Elnora Giles, age 68 of Clanton, passed away on June 1, 2012, at Hatley Healthcare.

She was born in Clanton on Nov. 28, 1943; the daughter of the late Auklee Baker and the late Minnie Cleckley Baker.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by: daughter, Charlotte (Eugene) Easterling of Clanton; son, James Earl (Stacey) Langston of Jemison; son, Mickel (Cindy) Stange of Billingsley; son, David (April) Stange of Billingsley; 19 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Merle Smith of Demopolis; sister, Faye Hall of Demopolis; sister, Betty Easterling of Clanton; brother, Bill Baker of Clanton; sister, Shirley Coburn of White City; brother, Charles Baker of Jemison; brother, Shorty Baker of Thorsby; sister, Nancy Lockhart of Clanton; and daughter-in-Law, Carol Langston of Clanton.

She is preceded in death by her parents along with: son, James Oneal Langston; son, Randy Langston; brother, Herman Baker; sister, Frances Griffin; and sister, Nell Smith.

Visitation was held on Sunday, June 3 from 5-8 p.m. at Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home.

Funeral services were held on Monday, June 4 at 2 p.m. from the Memorial Chapel of Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home with the Rev. Austin Ball and the Rev. Thurmond Cleckler officiating.

Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Clanton.
