Curt and Valerie Groom were married Nov. 27 in Thorsby.

The bride is the daughter of Kenneth R. Spearman, Freda R. Spearman and Greg Cox and the granddaughter of the late Carol S. Robinson, Junior Robinson, and the late Billy S. and Ollie Mae Cox. She is a graduate of Thorsby High School.

The groom is the son of Jerry Paul and Faye Groom and the grandson of Minice Posey and the late James A. Posey, and the late Flornelle and Ralph Lipsey. He is a graduate of Maplesville High School.

The groom’s attendants were Mason Poe and Kristopher Groom.

Flowers included a bouquet of roses and gerber daisies, and the bride wore a long purple halter style dress.

The wedding was a small outside ceremony with only family and close friends in attendance. The bride was given away by her 5-year-old son, Mason Poe.
