Robert “Bob” Charles Frater, 89, of Clanton died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010.
He was born Tuesday, April 26, 1921, in Yakima, Wash., Son of the late Charles J. Frater and the late Adelaide Doble Frater.
He worked in aviation with Hayes Aircraft.
Surviving are his wife, Betty J. Frater of Clanton; son, Steven (Joan) Frater of Deland, Fla.; two daughters, Nancy Dangel of Heathrow, Fla. and Donna Jean (Kenneth) Hall of Verbena; sister, Meredith (Tim) Timmons of Leesburg, Fla.; seven grandchildren, David Dangel of Oviedo, Fla., Susan Mohler of Deltona, Fla., Brian Dangel of Casselberry, Fla., Christopher Frater of Rowlett, Texas, Jennie Singleton of Sherman, Texas, Laura Hall of Verbena and Mary Beth Hall of Verbena; 13 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Merton Conn of Renton, Wash.; and mother-in-law, Mary Elizabeth Addison.
Friends will be received from 10-11, Thursday, Dec. 2 at Clanton First United Methodist Church.
Services will be held Thursday, Dec. 2 at 11 a.m. at Clanton First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Larry Anderson and the Rev. Brian Dovey officiating.
Interment will follow in Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo.
