The skill and experience featured on The Clanton Advertiser’s 2010 All-Area Volleyball team is perhaps unrivaled by any that came before it.

The team features at least two players, Jemison setter Kasi Wells and Isabella middle blocker Amber Wyatt, who are possibly the best players at their respective positions that Chilton County has ever seen.

Isabella, who earned a berth in the Elite 8 state tournament, is also represented on the first team by defensive specialist Kaylynn Culp.
Jemison also has two selections: Wells and defensive specialist Emily Smithey.

Chilton County is represented by Lauren Stewart, the only non-senior on the first team.

Out of the 23 players recognized, including those on the Honorable Mention list, Jemison sophomore Haley Smitherman is the only player not a senior or junior.

Selections were based on coach nominations, statistics and team performance.
