Frank Eugene Nelson, 90, of Thorsby died Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at Hatley Health Care in Clanton.

He was born on Tuesday, May 10, 1921, in Shelby County, son of the late Monroe “M.O.” Nelson and the late Lola Johnson Nelson.

He was a brick mason.

Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Nelson of Thorsby; two daughters, Linda (Milan) Hogg of Thorsby and Anita E. (Mike) Brown of Jemison; brother, Wayne (Jean) Nelson of Thorsby; sister, Dorothy Dean (Carrie) Wood of Nashville, Tenn.; two grandsons, Frankie (Cheryl) Brown of Thorsby and Joel (Jennifer) Brown of Thorsby; granddaughter, Andrea (James) Gilliam of Jemison; four great-grandsons, one great-granddaughter, one great-great grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 1-2 p.m., Friday, April 27 at Liberty Hill Baptist Church.

Services will be held Friday, April 27 at 2 p.m. at graveside with the Rev. Kent Dodson officiating.

Interment will follow in Liberty Hill Baptist Cemetery in Clanton.
