Frances Dawson Whitehead, of Montevallo, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012, at the age of 77. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist No. 1 in Jemison.

Her daughter, Karen Whitehead, and her parents, Paul and Nell Dawson, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Connor (Tom); three brothers, Bob Dawson, Clyde Dawson and Tommy Dawson, a sister, Sue Stringer; two grandchildren, Jarred Connor (Jessi) and Chad Connor (special friend, Lauren Liveoak); and two great-grandchildren, Emma McCluskey and Savannah Connor.

The family received friends Tuesday, April 24 from 6-8 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 25 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Doug West officiating. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
