Alice Faye Carter, 64, of Maplesville died Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010.

She was born Monday, March 4, 1946, in Selma, daughter of the late Doyle Rosco Smitherman and the late Mary Inez Payne Smitherman.

She was a seamstress.

Surviving are her husband, Thomas Eugene Carter of Maplesville; two daughters, Pamela (Robby) Arnold of Maplesville and Crystal (Gary) Cofer of Clanton; son, Shannon (Adrienne) Carter of Maplesville; grandchildren, Jarrod Cofer, Hailey Cofer, Hannah Cofer, Amanda Arnold Brown, Brett Arnold, Natalie Arnold, Brinley Carter, Hayden Carter; great grandchild, Brayden Cofer; six brothers, Doug (Charlotte) Smitherman, Daniel (Patty) Smitherman, Bobby (Mary Jane) Smitherman, Roland (Debra) Smitherman, Roger (Bonnie) Smitherman and Randy Smitherman; two sisters, Wanda (Steve) Bistline, Annette Smitherman; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Shelly Carter.  

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 16 at Mt. Carmel No. 2 in Maplesville.

Services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 17 at 10 a.m. at Mt. Carmel Baptist No. 2 Church with the Rev. Doug Powell officiating.

Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Baptist No. 2 in Maplesville.
