Search still underway for Talladega County man with Chilton ties

A Talladega County man who went missing on Jan. 3 has still not been found with authorities believing he could be in Chilton County. Jerry Wilkins, 21, was last seen on Jan. 3 at around 10:30 a.m. when he left his Talladega County home driving a white Yukon XL with a black front bumper and fender. The vehicle has a personalized University of Alabama tag ‘PLYSAX.”

Wilkins’ family said he left in the morning to get a haircut without his phone and medication and did not return. Wilkins is 6-foot tall and weighs between 200 and 220 pounds.

Another man in Talladega County, Antonio Laquan Colbert, 46, who was reported missing on Jan. 14 was found deceased in his home on Jan. 22. Colbert was last seen on Jan. 14 between 5 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Police are investigating Colbert’s death.
