The Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles held 20 hearings on Jan. 7, one of which granted parole to a Chilton County offender.
Rachel Marie Lesueur was granted parole by the board after her hearing was continued from Jan. 7 to Jan. 9. No one spoke in favor or against Lesueur being granted parole, and she was awarded parole on the continuation date.
Lesueur was serving a 36-month sentence for a Possession of Controlled Substance-Class D charge following her arrest on Aug. 21, 2024. At the time of parole being granted, Lesueur served five months and 12 days of the 36-month sentence with 18 days of jail credit and 199 days of good time included. Lesueur previously had a minimum release date of Oct. 19, 2025 prior to parole being granted.
