The TV show “American Pickers” is making its return to Alabama this December, and your unique collection in Chilton County could be featured with the drop of a lead. Cineflix Productions, the company that produces the show, reported that the pickers will be in the southeast this winter with a trip to Alabama on their docket.

American Pickers is a documentary series that explores the fascinating world of antique picking and is featured on The History Channel. The show follows skilled pickers — Mike Wolfe, Robbie Wolfe and Jersey Jon, and their business, Antique Archaeology, as they hunt for America’s most valuable antiques that are tucked away in personal collections and junk piles across the nation. The show also features Danielle Colby who runs the Antique Archaeology store and manages the business.

“The Pickers have seen a lot of rusty gold over the years and are always looking to discover something they have never seen before,” a press release from Cineflix said. “They are ready to find extraordinary items and hear fascinating tales about them. The “American Pickers” TV show is looking for leads and would love to explore your hidden treasure. If you or someone you know has a unique item, story to tell and is ready to sell … We would love to hear from you.”

The way the show finds people and collections is spreading the word as far and wide that they are coming to a town so as many people as possible know. Antique Archaeology is looking for leads throughout Alabama, and specifically interesting characters with fascinating items, and lots of them. As they hit the back roads from coast to coast, the Pickers are on a mission to recycle and rescue forgotten relics. Along the way, they want to meet characters with amazing stories and fun items. They hope to give historically significant objects a new lease on life while learning a thing or two about America’s past along the way.

“American Pickers” only picks private collections. They do not pick stores, flea markets, museums, auctions, businesses or anything open to the public.
