Chilton Christian Academy landed four players on the Alabama Christian Athletics Association’s 2024 Christian Football Association Six-Man Football All-League Team following the program’s comeback season this year. The Patriots put two players on each of the offensive and defensive All-League Teams, and all four are underclassmen.

“They stepped up and provided leadership in their roles,” Chilton Christian head coach Jay Norcross said. “They gave leadership and tons of energy, just 100% energy.”

On offense, sophomore Drew Bates got the nod as one of four offensive linemen selected to the team, followed by freshman Josh Langston as one of three wide receivers on the team.

On defense, freshman Toby Epperson was one of three defensive backs on the team, and lastly, sophomore Eli Hand went on the team as the only defensive at-large selection made.

Norcross said notching this type of all-league achievement can give young players like these four loads of confidence heading into next season. He is hopeful this will make them strive higher for next season, and he has already heard rumblings from the team about their preparations for 2025.

“It gives us tons (of pedigree on the team),” Norcross said. “We are losing one guy, but the whole team is coming back. Those four guys saw what they can do, and now they are striving to do better. They will be a year older, they will get stronger and now they have a full year of games under their belt. They are going to be striving for higher goals (next season).”

The Patriots earned the four all-league selections following a 4-4 record this season.
