The 2024 Chilton County Relay for Life Queens completed their annual Halloween costume drive to benefit Children’s of Alabama Hospital and donated 163 costumes to children for the holiday.

The queens collected the costumes from Sept. 23-Oct. 18 and had drop off locations at Elite Salon, Chilton County DHR and Glitz & Gowns that helped bring in the large donation. The costumes will go straight to children fighting cancer and other children in the hospital.

“Thank you all for your willingness to help,” Relay for Life Organizer Sunny Mays said.

The Relay Queens had help from a large contingent of past queens and others, including — 2019 Young Miss Queen Mattie Whittle and Verbena High School and Annex, 2020 Junior Miss Queen Alyssa Zeigler and family, 2023 Wee Miss Queen Blakely Myers and family, 2020 Little Miss AnnaBella Northcutt and family, 2015 Young Miss Queen Kailee Williams and family, 2015 Wee Miss Queen Carly Meank and family, the 2024 Chilton County, Strawberry and Swedish Queens and Chilton County, Isabella and Jemison High School SGAs.
