Billingsley two points away from a playoff bid, loses on road at Keith

In a head-to-head battle for the final playoff spot in Class 1A Region 4, Billingsley High School lost a nail-biter game 38-36 in overtime to Keith High School on Oct. 25. Landon Jones accounted for four touchdowns in his final game for the Bears.
The Bears posted 482 yards of offense with Jones going 16-for-24 passing for 247 yards and three touchdowns, and he added 55 yards on six carries and a touchdown on the ground. Kaden Cotton ran for a team-high 155 yards on 12 carries and two touchdowns, and caught two of Jones’ touchdown passes. Boice caught the other, and racked up 187 receiving yards on nine catches.
On defense, the Bears were led by Jones as the leading tackler with 16 stops, followed by Jake Rawlinson with 13 and a fumble recovery and Danny Boice with 10 and a sack.
Billingsley’s season comes to an end at 3-7 overall with the Bears bye week falling on the last week of the regular season.
