Parole denied for Chilton offender

The Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles held 17 hearings on Oct. 3, one of which involved a Chilton County offender.

Joseph Keith Padgett was denied parole by the board and received no reset date. No one spoke for or against Padgett receiving parole during the hearing.

Padgett is currently serving a 54-month sentence for a Possession of a Controlled Substance arrest on May 29. Padgett has currently served eight months and 23 days of his sentence with 126 days of jail credit and 187 days of good time received included, and his minimum release date is set for Oct. 3, 2025.

Padgett has previous arrests in Chilton County dating back to 2015.
