CCHS, Billingsley host area volleyball tournaments, others on road

The time is now for Chilton County area volleyball teams as their respective area tournaments are on the horizon to determine which schools will advance to the state volleyball playoffs. Two schools — Chilton County and Billingsley High Schools, will host their area tournaments, while the other five teams hit the road on Oct. 16-17. All area volleyball tournaments will be one-day events at the host school.

 

Chilton County High School

  • Class 6A Area 5 Tournament on Oct. 17 at Chilton County High School
  • In championship game at 6 p.m., plays winner of Benjamin Russell/Calera

 

Billingsley High School

  • Class 1A Area 7 Tournament on Oct. 16 at Billingsley High School
  • Plays Breakthrough Charter School in the semifinals at 4 p.m., title game at 7 p.m. if win

 

Maplesville High School

  • Class 1A Area 7 Tournament on Oct. 16 at Billingsley High School
  • Plays Francis Marion High School in the semifinals at 5:30 p.m., title game at 7 p.m. if win

 

Verbena High School

  • Class 1A Area 6 Tournament on Oct. 16 at Autauga Academy
  • Plays Autaugaville High School in the semifinals at 3:45 p.m., title game at 5 p.m. if win

 

Jemison High School

  • Class 5A Area 5 Tournament on Oct. 16 at Demopolis High School
  • Plays Montevallo High School in semifinals at 3 p.m., title game at 5 p.m. if win

 

Isabella High School

  • Class 2A Area 6 Tournament on Oct. 17 at Tuscaloosa Academy
  • Plays Greene County High School in semifinals at 6 p.m., title game at 7 p.m. if win

 

Thorsby High School

  • Class 3A Area 5 Tournament on Oct. 17 at Alabama Christian Academy
  • Plays Dallas County in the semifinals at 5 p.m. title game at 6:30 p.m. if win
