Parole denied for Chilton offender

The Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles held 22 parole hearings on April 30, one of which involved a Chilton County offender.
Charles Jared Murphy was denied parole by the board and received no reset date, and no one spoke in favor or against Murphy receiving parole during his hearing. Murphy is currently serving a 66-month sentence for a Theft of Property II arrest on Nov. 8, 2023 in Chilton County. Currently, Murphy has served nine months and 21 days of his sentence, and he has a minimum release date of July 1, 2025.
