Chilton County Relay for Life will host the “May the Cure Be With You” Cancer Survivor Breakfast on May 4 from 8-11:30 a.m. at the YMCA of Chilton County. The breakfast theme is a word-play on “May Fourth” from Star Wars movies.

“We want to recognize everyone who has fought or is fighting this disease,” said Relay for Life Organizer Sunny Mays. “They have the support of the Relay Committee.”

The breakfast will be furnished by Farm House Cafe and feature several fun and uplifting activities including door prizes, bingo and entertainment such as the Clanton Middle School Choir directed by Selena Price, Just Twirl It directed by Stacey Easterling, Impact Martial Arts and more. There will also be a photo booth available for attendees with props.

Cancer survivors are encouraged to register for the breakfast in advance by visiting www.relayforlife.org/chiltonal and are welcome to bring a guest with them.

“We hope that survivors will come,” said Mays. “We all know someone that has fought cancer or is currently fighting it. Relay for Life is about celebrating and supporting them, and to be there for someone else who needs your support.”

The YMCA of Chilton County is located at 405 Ollie Avenue, Clanton.
