The Chilton County Sheriff’s Office released a press release on March 8 that detailed a robbery call it responded to on March 2.

According to the release, CCSO officers responded to a call of a subject who had possibly been struck by a vehicle on County Road 37. Upon arriving, officers learned that the victim was meeting people to purchase a gun from them. When the victim gave the subject the money for the gun, another passenger took the money in an attempt to rob the victim.

The victim reached into the vehicle to retrieve the money, but the subjects in the car attempted to drive away and the victim was struck by the vehicle. The victim received treatment for his injuries, and is expected to make a full recovery.

The subjects in the vehicle were located, arrested and booked into the Chilton County Jail, and the names of the subjects are being withheld due to their juvenile status.
