The Reis Show will present the Lewis & Clark Circus from March 18-20 at Goose Pond Park in Clanton. The event is being sponsored by the City of Clanton.

One of the last traditional tent shows, the circus will present classic performances and entertainment such as world-class aerialists, acrobats, magicians, fire juggling and more. Performance dates and times will be March 18 and March 20 at 6 p.m.  March 19 will have two shows, the first one at 5:30 p.m. and one after at 7:30 p.m. Each program will run for 90 minutes.

Circus owners Olena and Vandier Reis met in 2003 and fell in love while working as circus performers. Olena, originally from Ukraine, worked as an aerialist and Vandeir, originally from Brazil, worked as a professional acrobat.

In 2013, they found themselves with the opportunity to purchase the circus. After ten years on the road and thousands of shows later, the Reis’ enjoy sharing circus life with their two children. Their goal is to provide children of all ages with the opportunity to experience the magic of the circus “where men fly, women contort and the audience forgets about the outside world for 90 minutes.”

Spectators are encouraged to sit close to the stage if they would like to see their child participate. Seating is first come, first served. Handicap seating is available upon notifying the box office 30 minutes prior to show time. This event is rain or shine, as all performances will be held under a big custom-top tent.

Discount tickets are available in advance at www.LewisClarkCircus.com, or at Clanton City Hall for $15 and only cash is accepted. Tickets sold at regular admittance price will be available at the entrance. Cash and credit cards are welcome.

Goose Pond Park is located at 906 7th St N, Clanton.
