The eighth annual Chilton County Best of the Best contest is set to begin in the county on Feb. 26. The contest crowns the best in the county in numerous categories, and the winners are voted on by the readers of Peach Living magazine.

The 2024 contest will feature some of the favorite categories like foods, businesses and leisure in the county, but a few categories were altered this year as well. The contest took the ‘Best Clothing Store’ category and split it into three sub categories — Best Women’s Clothing Store, Best Men’s Clothing Store and Best Children’s Clothing Store. All of the other categories in the contest are like the years previous.

The nomination round for the Best of the Best contest starts on Feb. 26 at midnight, and will run until March 15. The top five nominees from each category will advance to the voting round. Some categories may send more or less than five nominations if the category has less than five nominees, or if the nominees are tied in votes.

The voting round will start on April 22 and feature the Best of the Best nominations from Peach Living readers. The voting round will extend until May 10 when it will close, and the votes will be tallied up. The winners of the contest will be announced in the summer edition of Peach Living magazine.
