MONTGOMERY POST – Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division along with ALEA’s Aviation Unit assisted the Clanton Police Department, Chilton County Sheriff’s Office along with the Autauga County Sheriff’s Office with a vehicle pursuit and man hunt.

The pursuit ended in a vehicle crash on Interstate 65 just north of Autauga County 68 in Autauga County. After the suspect’s vehicle crashed the individual fled on foot but was eventually captured and arrested. Details concerning the arrest will need to be directed to the Clanton Police Department.

ALEA Troopers are currently investigating the crash and as additional information becomes available and can be shared concerning the crash those will be passed along.
