MONTGOMERY POST – A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 6:15 a.m. Monday, Dec. 18, has claimed the life of a Clanton man. Jimmie W. Cleckler, 63, was critically injured when the 2016 Ford F-150 pickup he was driving left the roadway and struck a large mound of dirt. Cleckler was transported to St. Vincent Hospital in Clanton, where he was later pronounced deceased. The crash occurred on U.S. 31 near the 213 mile marker, approximately three miles south of Clanton, in Chilton County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
