The City of Jemison’s 2023 Christmas Parade on Dec. 9 at 11 a.m. was canceled by the city due to the threat of inclement weather. There is no reschedule date for the parade.

“We have spoken to meteorologists at Fox 6 and they are saying the probability of rain during this time is high. To put on a parade, it takes a lot of time, money, and effort by not only the City staff, but all of our parade participants, along with everyone that plans time out of their day to attend. Due to all factors involved, we have made the regretful decision to cancel the parade at this time,” the City of Jemison said in a Facebook post on Dec. 8.
