The Alabama Board of Paroles and Pardons held 15 hearings on Sept. 14, one of which involved a Chilton County offender.
Robert Allen Starcher was denied parole with a reset date of April 1, 2024. Starcher’s wife, Lisa Starcher, and his stepson, Trevor Thomas, both spoke in favor of him receiving parole.
Starcher, who is currently serving concurrent sentences for charges in both Chiton and Baldwin counties, is serving an 84-month sentence that began on Oct. 7, 2022 for Theft of Property I in Baldwin County. Starcher was sentenced to 36-months in jail on April 26, 2023 for a Receiving Stolen Property I charge that occurred in Chilton County.
The board also held a hearing on Sept. 20 for Tiffany Deana Applegate where parole was denied with no reset date. Applegate had no one speak for or against her receiving paroles. Applegate is currently serving a 36-month sentence for Burglary III in Chilton County and was sentenced on June 8 of this year.
