Charles Curtis Mims, 93, of Clanton, Alabama passed away July 30, 2023, at his residence.
He was born February 22, 1930, in Alabama, son of the late Doston Mims and the late Mattie Mims.
He was a AirCraft Mechanic.
Surviving are his Brother, Billy “Deadeye” Mims, God-son, Dale (Judy) Lett, Granddaughter, Jennifer (Mike) Baker, Granddaughter, Mandy Lett, Great-Grandson, Trey (Anna) Baker, Great-Granddaughter, Maeci (Travis) Adams, Great-Grandson, Dallas Knight, Niece, Shelia (Tony) Harris, Niece, Gina (Harold) Whatley, Niece, Debbie (Steve) Strickland, Niece, Charlotte McElwain, Nephew, Kevin McEwain, Nephew, Larry Shaw, Nieces, Debbie and Brenda, a Host of great & great- great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Wife, Vesta M. Mims, Father, Doston Mims, Mother, Mattie Ann Mims, God-daughter, Dean Lett, Granddaughter, Sabrina Lett, Brother, Thomas C. Mims, Sister, Erlene Littleton, Niece, Mattie Ann Mims.
Pallbearers: Mike Baker, Travis Adams, Trey Baker, Dallas Knight, Brent Collins, and Tony Harris.
The family request No Flowers, and please make donations to the Zion Ridge Church of God Youth Ministry.
Friends will be received Thursday, August 3, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Zion Ridge Church of God.
Services will be held Thursday, August 3, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. at Zion Ridge Church of God with Rev. Tony Thomas, Rev. Mike Cleckler and Rev. Jason Acreman officiating.
Graveside Service will be held Friday, August 4, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Glad Tidings Cemetery.
Interment will follow in Glad Tidings Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama.
