The Jemison City Council voted to approve a $9,000 repair to the Jemison Fire Department roof at its meeting on July 17. The fix will be done by A+ Home Improvements in Clanton, and the motion was passed unanimously.

Also, during the meeting:

• The council unanimously approved a motion to have Hayden C. Robinson and Jacob A. Clark become members of the city of Jemison’s reserve police officer program.
• The council unanimously approved to purchase a $735 ad inside The Clanton Advertiser’s Kickoff magazine.
