MONTGOMERY POST – A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 2:55 a.m. Friday, May 12, has claimed the life of a Moody man. William A. Chattman-Eady, 24, was fatally injured when the 1997 Freightliner tractor-trailer he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree before catching on fire. Chattman-Eady was pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash occurred on Alabama 145 near the 5 mile marker, approximately one mile north of Clanton, in Chilton County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
