Tommie Steven Fulmer pled guilty on March 6 to three counts of attempted murder from a March 2021 incident.
A charge of throwing/shooting into an occupied vehicle was dismissed.
According to court documentation of the plea agreement, the recommended sentence will be 20 years in prison.
A sentencing date has been set for April 5.
Fulmer was charged after a March 27, 2021 shooting incident in Verbena. The other suspect, Rhett Brooks Churchwell, pled guilty to one count of attempted murder on Dec. 7, 2022, and will be sentenced on April 5.
Sheriff John Shearon said at the time of the incident that the victim, who had multiple gunshot wounds, told law enforcement that the suspects had been driving closely behind his vehicle and driving erratically. When the victim had pulled over to let them pass, they would not.
The victim’s wife and grandchild were also in the vehicle at the time of the incident.
