MONTGOMERY POST — A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 5:25 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, has claimed the life of a Thorsby man. The crash occurred when the 2012 Nissan Altima driven by Michael D. Tobi, 45, left the roadway and struck a tree. Tobi was pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash occurred on Chilton County 76 near Chilton County 30, approximately eight miles west of Clanton, in Chilton County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
