Collins Chapel Volunteer Fire Department is teaming up with several other area volunteer departments and A Miracle on Elm Street to continue its holiday parade tradition.
The event will be Dec. 17 at 6:30 p.m. starting from Collins Chapel Fire Department and going pass the Christmas display known as A Miracle on Elm Street.
Collins Chapel Fire Chief Trae Caton said they enjoy the collaboration in order to have Santa be a part of the festivities.
“We all enjoy being able to spread whatever holiday cheer we can and having an opportunity to do something like this in our community, going above and beyond to spread holiday cheer to whoever may need it,” Caton said.
He said there were multiple other fire departments that “come help make this event special every year.”
Santa, along with Mrs. Claus, The Grinch and Cindy Lou Who, will ride in the parade to A Miracle on Elm Street, 2322 County Road 13 in Clanton where they will be available for photos until 8:30 p.m.
Caton said the fire truck parade has been an annual tradition since before he became fire chief.
