Several local pageant queens held a paint party on Oct. 22 to raise funds to help children in need in Chilton County have a very Merry Christmas. The Swedish Festival Queens, Relay for Life Queens, Strawberry Queens, Blackberry Queens and Miss Chilton County Queens are grateful to all who participated and donated to this year’s “Boo at the Zoo Paint Party” led by Julie Harrison, art teacher at Clanton Elementary School. Harrison led the boys and girls in a fun time painting a cute elephant to go along with their Zoo theme. Each Queen group was a different zoo animal. The group also expressed thanks to West End Baptist Church for allowing use their Family Life Center, to POP Your Party for our beautiful decorations and to the Queens Directors of each group for helping. As always, Chilton County people were so willing to give.
