The Clanton City Council discussed upcoming decisions during a work session on June 23.
A voting session will be held at 5 p.m. on June 27.
The council will consider applying for an ALDOT Transportation Alternatives program grant.
Mayor Jeff Mims said the grant would be for a bridge across a creek at City Park to allow access to the softball field from the new parking area that has been created on Seventh Street across from Goose Pond Park.
An easement agreement with Alabama Power near the pumping station at the river will also be considered.
“We own some lines … going down to that pumping station,” Mims said. “We are trying to turn all this stuff back over to Alabama Power.”
Two applications for alcoholic beverage licenses will be considered.
The council will review an application for a retail beer and wine license on/ off premises applied for by Much a Brew About Something during the June 27 meeting.
Mims said this was something the owner had “been working on for a while” and now had all of the paperwork in order.
A second retail beer and wine license for off premises consumption will be considered for Quick Stop on Seventh Street. This would be a transfer to the new owner.
The city will also be considering declaring a vehicle surplus because of a vehicle fire.
A request to increase the processing fee for a rezoning request will also be considered. Mims said the increase would be to “break even.”
