Constance (Connie) Ray, born 5/28/1934 in East Orange, New Jersey, passed away on May 30, 2022 at her home in Jemison.

She is survived by her sister Lynn Denkovic Molner of Edgewater, Florida; daughter Laurie Ray Konrad (Chris) of Bellevue, Nebraska; daughter Robin Lynn Miller of Jemison; and son John Kenneth Ray (Angie) of Alabaster; nine grandchildren and two step-grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by husband former Mayor Kenneth Ray of Jemison, mother Virginia Malang (Louis) of Daytona Beach, Florida, sister Duane Snyder of Port Orange, Florida, daughter Nancy Jo Ray of Jemison, step-daughter Victoria Lynn Ray of Oregon and grandson Robert David Stevens of Jemison.

Because she was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, Mrs. Ray’s ashes will be buried in the Montevallo

National Cemetery. It will be a small funeral on June 16 for family and a few friends.
