A single vehicle crash on March 19 resulted in the death of Bobby A. Mims, 80, of Maplesville.

According to Senior Trooper Anna Peoples of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Mims “was fatally injured when the 2004 Mercury Sable he was driving left the road way and struck a tree. Mims was pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash occurred on Chilton County Road 15 approximately seven miles east of Maplesville.”

ALEA is continuing to investigate the incident.
