Doris Ruth Myers Capps

Funeral services for Doris Ruth Myers Capps, 87, of Alabaster were held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 3, 2022, at Charter Funeral Home in Calera with graveside service following at Chilton Memorial Cemetery in Clanton. Rev. Gary Jones officiated the services.

Capps was born April 16, 1934, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Myers of Docena, AL.  She was a wife, mother, and homemaker, as well as serving as a Realtor and most recently, as a library assistant.

Capps passed away on January 30, 2022, at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Mr. H.D. “Dan”; Capps. Survivors include two sons, Dan Capps (wife, Joy) of Pelham; and Shaun Capps (wife, Lynn) of Alabaster; three grandchildrenand five great-grandchildren.
