On Feb. 11 at Autaugaville High School, both 1A Area 7 basketball finals featured Chilton County area high schools with the Billingsley girls and Maplesville boys each taking on the host school.
Billingsley dropped their final 60-45 to Autaugaville and will travel to the 1A Area 5 champion
Linden on Monday at 6 p.m.
The Maplesville varsity boys faced a tough task facing the No. 1 ranked 1A team in Alabama
and defending state champion Autaugaville. The Red Devils could not get much going on
offense and fell 73-28. Jonathan Wilson led Maplesvilles with 16 points.
The Chilton County High School varsity boys also dropped their 6A Area 6 final 69-50 to Pelham. The Tigers
will travel to the Area 5 champions Benjamin Russell on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
