Sew Charming has a new location.
After spending years in a shop across from River Bank and Trust, the embroidery, fabric and quilt business has a new home.
Now, Sew Charming is located at 601 Seventh St. S. in Clanton. The business opened at the new location in July 2021.
“We wanted to own our own place,” Sew Charming co-owner Penny Smith said. “We were renting before we bought this place, and it has room for growth.”
The business is co-owned by Smith and her daughter Emily Hand. The two have seen Sew Charming grow since it began in 2014. It has become a big part of the community, and the new location has received great reviews from the community thus far.
“It’s a lot lighter, brighter, more inviting,” Smith said.
Smith and Hand hope more people are able to see the new location when they host an open house on Oct. 8. The event will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and there will be hourly giveaways.
