Isabella running back Zac Chapman is this week’s athlete of the week. The Mustangs’ running back played a critical role in the team’s win over Thorsby High School on Sept. 10, carrying the offense with 264 rushing yards in the game off 28 carries. Chapman also scored a touchdown and a two-point conversion for Isabella in the win.
Honorable mention:
Brady Harrison, Maplesville High School
Harrison is another running back that had an outstanding game this week. The senior played a big role in Maplesville’s shutout victory over Billingsley in week four.
Harrison ran for 111 yards in the game off 15 rushes, averaging 7.4 yards per rush. Those 111 yards were the most by any player on Maplesville’s offense. He also added a touchdown in the win.
