Care Net of Chilton County is hosting its first ever Image Bearers Gala in Clanton on Sept. 7.

The event will be held at 6:30 p.m. at 6th Street Warehouse, located at 202 Sixth St. S.

All guests will be treated to a meal as well as having the opportunity to listen to guest speaker Abby Johnson, a well-known advocate in the pro-life movement.

“Everyone kind of knows the name Abby Johnson, especially from her movie ‘Unplanned,’” said Care Net Executive Director Ashley Liveoak. “So, I just thought that she would be a great voice to get out to our community what Care Net is here for and what we do. It just kind of began from there and grew into this Image Bearers Gala.”

All proceeds for the event will go to Care Net. The organization has set a goal of $20,000 to be raised from the gala.

“The hope is that over year it will grow and that each year we will be able to host this and maybe next year add a silent auction and host another guest speaker,” Liveoak said.

For those wanting to attend the event, the price of a ticket is $125. Sponsorships are also available. Sponsorships cost $1,000 and will include a table for eight people at the gala.

Full capacity for the event is capped at 125 people. Approximately 75 people have purchased tickets already.
