Kate Rasberry Smith, 91, of Jemison, passed away August 27, 2021 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster.

She was born Jan. 15, 1930, daughter of Erman Rasberry and Era Atchison Rasberry.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her daughter, Janice Smith (W.A.) Johnson; son, Ronnie (Dianne) Smith, daughter, Beverly Smith (Mark) Hamm; 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren, daughter-in-law, Rhonda Smith Collins, sister, Kathleen Underwood and friend, J. T. Porter.

She was preceded in death by her father, Erman Eugene Rasberry; mother, Era Atchison Rasberry; husband, James Orville Smith; son, Ricky Smith; Brothers: Calvin Rasberry, Himan Rasberry and Hansel Rasberry.

Friends will be received Sunday, Aug. 29, 2021 from 1-2 p.m. at Pates Chapel Baptist Church.

Services will be held Sunday, Aug. 29, 2021, at 2 pm. at Pates Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Jones officiating.

Interment will follow in Pates Chapel Baptist Church cemetery.
