Sandra Faye Hilyer, 81, of Jemison passed away Aug. 10, 2021 at Columbiana Health & Rehab in Columbiana, Alabama.

She was born March 23, 1940 in Chilton County, Alabama, daughter of the late Russell Peterson and the late Jewell Peterson.

She was a Retired Teacher.

Surviving are her daughter Robin C. (William Price) Hilyer, son Brent (Jada) Hilyer, grandchildren: Perry (Katie) Hilyer, Russell (Bethany) Hilyer, Erica Hilyer, Brad (Laura) Hilyer, Elizabeth (Don) Edwards and Joshua Hilyer, several great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son Mark Hilyer, husband Douglas G. Hilyer; father Russell Peterson and mother Jewell Peterson.

Friends will be received Friday, Aug. 13, 2021 from 10-11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel, 1300 4th Avenue North, Clanton, Alabama 35045.

Services will be held Friday, Aug. 13, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel, 1300 4th Avenue North, Clanton, Alabama 35045.

Interment will follow in Midway Memorial Gardens in Jemison, Alabama.
