Two traffic accidents in the past seven day have led to fatalities.
A 14-year-old from Jemison died in a two-vehicle crash on June 24 on County Road 38 near Jemison.
The youth “was critically injured when the off-road vehicle the teen was driving overturned in the roadway and was struck by a 2002 Nissan Pathfinder, driven by Ashley Nicole McDaniel, 28, of Jemison, Alabama,” according to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division in a press release.
Juveniles’ names are not released in ALEA press releases.
“The juvenile was transported to Children’s Hospital in Birmingham, where the teen later succumbed to injuries,” ALEA stated.
A two-vehicle crash on June 29 at around 7:55 p.m. on Alabama 22 East, near the 59-mile marker, west of Clanton resulted in the death of John H. Glasgow III, 32, of Wamego, Kansas.
Glasgow “was fatally injured when the 2008 Pontiac G6 he was driving, crossed the center line and collided with a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado… Glasgow was pronounced deceased at the scene.”
Further information is not available as ALEA continues to investigate these incidents.
