A single-vehicle accident on County Road 42 near County Road 1033 on June 15 left one injured.
A 17-year-old female driver from Clanton “was injured when the 1998 Ford F-150 she was driving left the roadway and struck a utility pole and several trees,” according to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division.
The teen’s name has not been released because ALEA does not give the name of juveniles in its press releases.
The teen is being treated for critical but nonlife-threatening injuries at UAB Hospital in Birmingham.
“Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate,” according to the release.
