Senior Connection will be doing something special in honor of men’s health week starting on June 14.

They have teamed up with St. Vincent’s Hospital to offer prostate cancer screening vouchers.

The idea came from Vanessa McKinney, the director of Senior Connection. McKinney reached out to St. Vincent’s to see if they could help out, and the hospital graciously agreed.

“We promote health and awareness at Senior Connection,” McKinney said. “So, this week is men’s health week, and we always want to try to share with our members awareness of things like that.”

One does not have to be a member of Senior Connection to be eligible for the voucher. According to McKinney, anyone in the county that is 55 years old or older can come to Senior Connection to get the voucher.

The vouchers can only be used during men’s health week from June 14-18.
