Morris William Mims, 101, of Clanton, Alabama passed away June 1, 2021 at his residence in Clanton.

He was born Nov. 6, 1919 in Alabama, son of the late James Mims and the late Jewel Noah Mims.

He was an electrician for Alabama Power.

Surviving are his son, Troy (Nan) Mims; daughters, Bonnie (Bud) Alexander and Robbie (Glenn) Conway; six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Arlie Ruth Mims, Margie Shaw, father James Willie Mims, and mother Jewel Noah Mims.

Pallbearers: David Mims, Andrew Conway, Glenn “Duck” Conway, Wesley Mims, Nathan Wilson and Brody Conway.

Friends will be received Friday, June 4, 2021 from noon to 2 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church #2.

Services will be held Friday, June 4, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church #2 with Rev. Tom Hammett, Rev. Dan Howard, Rev. Allen Foster, Rev. Glenn Bonds, Rev. Conway Andrew officiating.

Interment will follow in Providence Baptist #2 Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama.
