With many jobs becoming available in Chilton County, some businesses are getting creative in trying to fill open positions.

One business in Chilton County that is thinking outside the box is Neighborhood Grill. The popular restaurant in Clanton, with a new store in Millbrook, is looking to hire workers for both locations, and they have thought of a new way to entice people to come work for them.

They are giving away a car.

The car is a 2020 Hyundai Elantra, according to Neighborhood Grill owner Jason Lea. It’s not a brand-new car as it had approximately 10,000 miles driven on it, but it is in good shape.

The plan is for the car to be given away to a Neighborhood Grill employee in December.

“We are going to give it away … during our company Christmas party,” Lea said.

In order to be eligible for the giveaway, one must apply and be hired by Neighborhood Grill between now and September. There are plenty of positions available at both locations.

“In Clanton, we only need eight or 10 employees to be where we need to be,” Lea said. “But at Millbrook … we may need as many as 20 to 30 new employees.”

To apply, one can go to the website at www.neighborhoodgrillandcatering.com, or one can go to either location and ask for an application.

However, the best way to get hired is to go to either location Tuesday through Friday from 2-4 p.m. and ask for an interview with a manager. If one does that, they can get an open interview on the spot instead of having to wait after applying.

So, if one is interested in a job and a chance at a free car, Neighborhood Grill might be the place to go.
