Vesta M. Mims, 91, of Clanton, Alabama passed away May 2, 2021 at her residence.

She was born January 10, 1930 in Florida, daughter of the late Charlie Shaw and the late Lucille Shaw.

She was in sales at a dress shop.

Surviving are her husband, Charles C. Mims; brother, Phillip Wayne Shaw; goddaughter, Dean (Dale) Lett; granddaughters, Jennifer (Mike) Baker and Mandy Lett; great-granddaughter, Maeci (Travis) Adams; great-grandsons: Trey Baker and Dallas Knight; niece, Debbie (Steve) Strickland; nephew, Larry Shaw, Sheila (Tony) Harris, Gina (Harold) Whatley and Charlotte McElwain; nephew, Kevin McElwain, and a host of great and great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charlie H. Shaw; mother, Lucille Shaw; granddaughter, Sabrina Lynn Lett; sister, Dorcas McElwain.

Pallbearers are Travis Adams, Trey Baker, Dallas Knight, Mike Baker, Brent Collins and Tony Harris.

Friends will be received Monday, May 3, 2021 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Zion Ridge Church of God.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Zion Ridge Church of God with Rev. Tony Thomas, Rev. Mike Cleckler and Rev. Jason Acreman.

Interment will follow in Glad Tidings Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama.
